Whilst in Pastoria City Riley walked into the Pokemon shelter and the first egg he saw was slightly smaller than the rest and was labeled Eevee Egg.

Riley took the egg to the counter and asked if he could have it

The girl at the counter gently took the egg out of Riley's hands, taking the tag off the egg and letting it rest in her arms, she gave Riley a small blue blanket to keep the egg warm. "Here, take this, it'll keep your Eevee warm while it rests inside the egg, when it hatches, the baby will be very small, so be careful. Always keep medicine around you, with this blanket. It takes alot of time to hatch an egg, but this one will hatch in two days. Keep it warm, if you don't, it'll die by the time it's supposed to hatch." Zeadon spoke, wrapping the blue blanket around the Eevee egg and handing it to Riley.

Question is it smart to let my Magmar hold it

"As long as he knows not to hurt it. Since Magmar's are fire-type Pokemon, he can heat the baby up, but don't roast it." she replied.
