Um..really?
1.) First of all despite being a pokemon of purely one type and that type is a special type (Fire). It has extremely high physical attack power. Allowing it to learn moves like Earthquake, Giga Impact, or Hyper Beam makes it pwn hard. It's attack stat is actually low for most evolved pokemon but in EVs it normally raises 3 to 4 at each level.
2.) Um...It's a fully evolved pokemon so it learns attacks like Giga Impact and Hyper Beam
3.) Unlike most fully evolved pokemon whom speed stats are at 80, Typhlosion's is at 100. It is ungodly fast even before you train it and raise its speed with EV
4.) Same applies to it's Special Attack. And considering it's type. Typlosion is extremely awesome when it learns special moves only. It's special attack is at 120 + the use of fire attacks + STAB + Blaze (if necessary).
5.) Typhlosion's most important feature which makes it more awesome than any pure Fire Type Pokemon and any fire type whose secondary type is not ground or rock, Is the fact that Typhlosion has one of the best MOVEPOOLS in the game. It can learn Earthquake and you honestly can say nuff said. Since that move is one of the most invaluable attacks in any pokemon game and you'd never expect a fire type to have. (Much less having pure fire types on a team)
It also learns Thunder, Gyro Ball, Focus Blast, Solarbeam and Toxic. Other broad attacks you wouldn't expect pokemon like it to know.
